During his 12-year tenure at Pleasantville, he spearheaded a comprehensive strategic plan to enhance academic performance, modernize facilities, improve financial stability, and manage enrollment growth. This initiative was a collaborative effort, involving multiple bond and levy measures approved by voters, and an innovative salary model that boosted teacher recruitment and retention. Aylsworth's leadership extended beyond Pleasantville, as he also served in various roles such as teacher, athletic coach, assistant principal, principal, and interim shared superintendent in two different school districts. His diverse experience and strong leadership skills make him an ideal fit for Southeast Polk.
